These monkeys reminded me of Kaitlyn, Jackson, Sydney, Roxy, Ellie, Zeke, Jules Greenbean, Samma Lamma Ding Dong, and of course.....Ollie! In fact, I heard Erin call Ollie "Monkey Lover" today so maybe that is why this wallpaper made me "go bananas".
Today was a good day. I started out thinking I was going to do some "Spring Cleaning" on this yucky winter day (minus open windows). First I got a slow start....then had phone call that lasted looooong. Then I found out that a gal I visit teach, her father-in-law passed away and I wanted to do some food. Started search some of my favorites and found this really really good
chicken pot pie recipe from my amazing friend, Si. She is quite the cook....you should visit her sight for some of the greatest recipes I've ever had. It's abountifulkitchen.blogspot.com. I LOVE this blog and am so sad when something doesn't post for several days. I guarantee you won't be sorry if you give one of her recipes a spin. Anyway, I made the Chicken Pot Pie, Homemade Roles, and some peas......Drew and Erin will attest it was the best they'd ever had.....enough in my book!
But anyway, back to my day. Well I had many things going at once. Ollie came to play because Erin had a case of the flu. Ollie loves coming here.....it was a great day. She helped me make rolls, and chicken pot pie. She helped me with the caramel brownies by licking the bowl....well, her and Oscar. Oh, just kidding, Erin, hold onto your knickers!!!
I am oober excited for Spring! I went to Costco yesterday to get some flower bulbs. I bought gladiola's which I am so happy for (hope they will grow) They remind me of my dad's prize winners in his front yard in Magalia, CA......they were beautiful and he was so proud of them. I've never tried growing them here in Utah......hope all goes well. Then I bought dahlias, and an assortment of bulbs for shady areas......bleeding heart and hostas. I'm in uncharted territory and so excited to get going. I want my yard and pots to be a huge gigantic pop of color this year. I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait!!!!!
Happy nine month birthday Samma Lamma Man! You know you melt my heart and I could just sit and watch you play all day long on Tuesday when you are here......oh wait, I do just sit and watch you play all day long on Tuesdays! It's a pleasure to spend this one day with you during the week....you "get" me and I love our connection. You've always just been like a little man to me rather than a baby. Can't wait to see what you learn this week.....you put a BIG smile on my face each time I'm with you.
